Join the ASTD Hawkeye Chapter for the Following Presentation:
Organization Change: The WLP’s Role
March 11, 2011 from 11:30 - 1:00
As we all deal (or struggle) with change every day in our work environment, what should be the role of the Workplace Learning Professional?
ASTD has identified the skills of facilitating change as one of the nine areas of expertise in the ASTD Competency Model. Also, this is one of the areas of certification for the CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance).
Please join us at the March ASTD program where members of the first CPLP Study Group will share some of the information, experiences, best practices, and tools and techniques to help WLP’s enhance our effectiveness while leading change. Topics will include:
- Forces of change on organizations and the training function
- Eight-step model for leading successful change
- The WLP’s role
- Understanding resistance to change
- Strategies to effectively address resistance to change
- Building an effective case for change
- The learning organization and change
This is a free event for Hawkeye Chapter Members. Guests may attend up to two meetings before they must join.
